Itinerary

Start from Negombo or Colombo at 7 am. Take a 4 hour drive to Mihintale. Afterwards, have lunch and visit Anuradhapura. Return back to Negombo to Colombo for dinner.

Mihintale

According to legend, in 247 BC, the Indian Buddhist monk Mahinda arrived at Mihintale and met with King Devanampiyatissa.
